If you are a woman who has reached the "Age of Elegance," and you are talented, outgoing and would like to have the time of your life, we are looking for you. Share your experience, knowledge, community involvement and enthusiasm for life. Be part of a national movement to dispel the myths of aging.

Contestants must be 60 years of age or older, be a citizen of the United States, and have lived in Virginia for at least 6 months. Judges independently appraise contestant application material prior to the competition. Pageant day activities are:

Interview (5 minutes): Importantly, judges meet each contestant off-stage for a personal interview. The contestant will be able to demonstrate their charm, personality aspects, conversational ability, and expand on their community involvement.

Philosophy of Life (35 seconds): While physical attractiveness is recognized, the pageant’s focus is on internal beauty. Each contestant presents a statement that best conveys her philosophy of life.

Talent (2:45 minutes): Integral to the Pageant is the talent presentation. Contestants may choose to perform music, art, dance, storytelling, homemaking, special interests, hobbies and/or other talents. Performance of talent may be of that newly learned or those undiminished by age.

Evening Gown: The pageant believes clothes do not “make” the woman, but rather, the woman “makes” the clothes. The judges will seek to identify the contestant whose poise and grace best depict her fashion sense and style.
